Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding the service after its successful launch in the US. This subscription allows customers to protect up to three Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under one plan for £16.99 per month.
AppleCare One offers repair services or up to three device replacements per year for accidental damages, loss, or theft. This new service enhances the existing benefits of AppleCare+, such as unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support.
Customers can save money by consolidating their device protection under AppleCare One. Apple estimates that individuals covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans for each device.
One key advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility it offers. Eligible devices up to four years old can be added to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extends coverage beyond the typical 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.
The plan also simplifies device upgrades. When a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old device is automatically removed, and the new one is added to the subscription seamlessly.
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, emphasized the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, stating that it provides a simpler and more flexible way for UK customers to protect their devices. With AppleCare One, customers can enjoy the peace of mind of having all their eligible products covered under one plan at a fixed price.
