Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated visit to the UK was humorously portrayed on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live UK, with the couple receiving a frosty reception typical of British humor.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were parodied in the Season 2 premiere of the late-night show, taking jabs at their Netflix deal, Meghan’s TV and business ventures, and the ongoing controversies surrounding race within the Royal Family.
The sketch opened with Harry and Meghan, played by Jack Shep and Ayoade Bamgboye, visiting King Charles and Queen Camilla at a mock-up of Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The interaction highlighted the couple’s return to the UK and financial situation post-royal life.
The skit humorously referenced the couple’s multi-million dollar Netflix deal, which ended in 2025, with Charles questioning their spending habits. The segment also poked fun at Meghan’s lifestyle brand promotion on Netflix and her attempt to position herself as a lifestyle expert.
Additionally, the sketch alluded to the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, with a playful reference to the controversy surrounding their son Archie’s skin color. The spoof then transitioned to a parody of Britain’s new prime minister, Andy Burnham, with comedic interactions between the characters.
Prince Harry, Meghan, and their children recently relocated to the UK from the US, with no official reason provided for the move. The family is settling in privately outside of London, with their children starting school in the UK this month.
