“Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind’ Coming to Canada: Casting Open”

Netflix has revealed plans to bring the popular reality dating series, “Love is Blind,” to Canada. The show, which has been a hit in the U.S., involves single individuals entering pods where they communicate, get to know one another, and even get engaged without seeing each other. Once engaged, the couples meet face to face, go on a trip together, and eventually decide whether to get married.

Casting for the Canadian version of “Love is Blind” is now open, attracting interest from individuals like Fernanda Estrada De La Rosa from Vancouver, who sees it as an exciting dating opportunity in a challenging dating landscape in Canada.

With several reality shows receiving Canadian adaptations, such as “Big Brother Canada” and “Canada Shore,” the decision to bring “Love is Blind” to Canada aligns with the current media trend in the country. Canadian TV producer Sean De Vries believes in the show’s potential success, emphasizing the importance of authenticity in dating shows.

Insight Productions, known for shows like “Big Brother Canada” and “Canada Shore,” will produce the Canadian version of “Love is Blind.” The casting requirements include being at least 19 years old and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Having completed multiple seasons in the U.S. and spinoffs in various countries, “Love is Blind” has become a global phenomenon. While the U.S. version is hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey, the Canadian host for the upcoming series is yet to be announced.
