“Former X Factor Contestant Arrested for Attempted Murder”

A former contestant from the talent show X Factor has been arrested on charges of attempted murder following an incident where a car struck pedestrians, resulting in severe injuries. The Metropolitan Police revealed that a woman in her 30s is in critical condition, while a man in his 50s sustained life-altering injuries after the vehicle hit them in Westminster early on Sunday. Another woman in her 30s suffered minor injuries during the same event.

Identified as Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old individual hailing from Manchester, she faces multiple charges including attempted murder, intentionally causing serious bodily harm, inflicting bodily harm, and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the authorities.

Carrington, who previously reached the live finals of X Factor in 2013 as part of the group Miss Dynamix, has transitioned into an influencer career under the alias RielleUK. The group, formed by Gary Barlow during the 2013 competition, performed ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ by Swedish House Mafia before being eliminated in Week 3.

After the disbandment of Miss Dynamix in 2014, Carrington bid farewell to her former bandmates and pursued a social media influencer path. With a substantial following on Instagram exceeding 362,000, her posts showcase extravagant travels to destinations like Mexico, Jamaica, and France, dining experiences, and promotions for her haircare products.

Recently, Carrington was involved in a collision outside a nightclub in Soho that injured three individuals. The incident occurred near Inca nightclub on Argyll Street early on a Sunday morning, where a vehicle struck pedestrians, resulting in injuries to two women and a man in his 50s who was handling his e-scooter.

One of the women, in her 30s, is in critical condition, while the man suffered severe injuries and was taken to a hospital. The other woman, believed to be in her 30s, received treatment for minor injuries. Carrington has been charged with attempted murder, causing serious bodily harm intentionally, inflicting bodily harm, and driving under the influence. She is currently in custody awaiting her initial court appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
