Trump made these remarks when asked about Harry’s statements, emphasizing that he believes he speaks more on behalf of the UK than the Prince. However, he thanked Harry for his input.
During a surprise visit to Ukraine, Prince Harry commended the nation for its courageous resistance against Russian forces. In Kyiv, he addressed both President Putin and the American leadership, highlighting the futility of the ongoing conflict and urging for a resolution that avoids further loss of life.
While not directly naming Donald Trump, Harry conveyed a message to the American leadership, emphasizing the importance of the US fulfilling its commitments to Ukraine’s security. He stressed that America’s role in global security necessitates honoring international treaty obligations to ensure stability in the region.
This visit marks Prince Harry’s third trip to Ukraine since the invasion in February 2022. Upon his arrival in Kyiv by train, following a deadly drone attack in Zaporizhzhia region, Harry expressed his support for the Ukrainian people and their resilience in the face of adversity.
Greeted by Ramina Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the executive director of the Open Ukraine Foundation, Prince Harry reiterated his commitment to raising awareness about Ukraine’s challenges and acknowledging the efforts of those working tirelessly in difficult circumstances.
