“Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Cleared to Play After Injury”

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been cleared to play after coming off the seven-day injured list. He is set to join the team for their upcoming game against the New York Yankees. Guerrero sustained an injury during a game against the Yankees last week following a collision with New York’s rookie shortstop George Lombard Jr. at third base. Despite the incident that led to his helmet coming off, Guerrero managed to score a run before leaving the game.

After undergoing final concussion tests and participating in a minor league rehab game, Guerrero returned to the team and was slotted second in the batting lineup for Saturday’s game. The Blue Jays made room for his return by optioning Davis Schneider to triple-A Buffalo. Guerrero, known for his impressive stats with a .263 batting average, seven home runs, and 46 RBIs, had been performing well prior to his injury, hitting .310 in his last seven games.
