“Calgary Police Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash”

Calgary police are looking into a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Friday night and tragically resulted in the death of a man in his twenties. According to authorities, the incident took place when the man, driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am south on Tsuut’ina Trail S.W. near 90th Avenue S.W., veered off the road and collided with the concrete base of a sign pole at around 8 p.m. on Friday. Emergency responders extricated him from the vehicle and transported him to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The man was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the crash. This incident marks the 18th fatal collision in Calgary this year, resulting in a total of 22 fatalities from these accidents. The authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with preliminary assessments indicating that speed and impairment are not considered to be contributing factors.
