“UK Supermarkets Issue Multiple Product Recalls: Check Your Kitchen!”

Shoppers are advised to inspect their kitchen appliances and cabinets in light of multiple product recalls issued by various UK supermarkets.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) initiates product withdrawals for reasons such as undisclosed allergens or identified product issues. Once a recall is issued, the FSA provides guidance for customers who have purchased the affected items, along with detailed explanations for the withdrawal. Recent recalls encompass desserts, snacks, and air fryers.

Consumers are urged to return the recalled products to the store for a full refund, irrespective of having a receipt. Noteworthy recalls from supermarkets include Gü Blonde Chocolate Cheesecake, wrongly packed with hazelnuts, and Farmfoods’ Ritz Cheese Sandwich, missing milk, soya, and wheat (gluten) disclosure.

Tower air fryers are also under scrutiny as several retailers are pulling affected models from their shelves due to fire hazards caused by overheating issues. Consumers owning these air fryers are advised to discontinue use immediately and disconnect them from power sources.

For more information on specific recalls and how to proceed, individuals can visit the Tower Housewares website.
