A TUI flight made an emergency landing at Manchester Airport, met by fire engines upon touchdown. Video footage revealed significant smoke from the aircraft’s tires as it landed due to technical issues. The Mallorca-bound flight had to return to Manchester shortly after takeoff at 7:30 am.
Flight tracking data showed the aircraft circling over the Peak District before the emergency landing. According to reports, firefighters escorted the plane to a hangar after landing. Ace Planespotting noted the high-speed landing and heavy tire smoke, describing it as dramatic.
The emergency landing was attributed to a possible flap issue, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. Post-landing inspections did not reveal any issues or anomalies. TUI has been contacted for further comments.
