Toddler critically injured in Dublin parking lot collision

A young child, aged three, has sustained critical injuries after being hit by a vehicle in an underground parking lot in Dublin. The incident occurred this morning near Dunnes Stores in Charlestown, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly.

The toddler was quickly taken to the hospital in critical condition following the accident. Authorities, as reported by the Irish Mirror, confirmed that the child was struck by a car in Finglas, Dublin 11, around 8:40 am on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The child was subsequently transported by ambulance to Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) Temple Street with severe injuries, with his condition deemed critical.

At present, the scene has been secured for investigation, and the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are set to conduct a thorough technical examination.
