Two teenage boys have been convicted of raping a girl in a harrowing 90-minute incident where she was coerced into engaging in a “threesome”. The assault took place in an underpass in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. Additionally, the pair faced allegations of sexually assaulting another girl alongside a third boy, who was 13 years old at the time.
The first boy was found guilty of one count of rape, while the second defendant was convicted of three counts of rape related to the initial incident that occurred on November 26, 2024. The first defendant was also convicted of one rape charge and taking three indecent photos of the victim. On the other hand, the second defendant was found guilty of three rape charges in connection with the second incident that transpired on January 17, 2025.
A third defendant, aged 14, was convicted of two rape charges for encouraging the second defendant during the January assault.
According to testimonies presented at Southampton Crown Court, the victim of the November attack, who was 15 at the time, met the first defendant on Snapchat. After meeting in person, the girl and the boy went to an underpass where she agreed to engage in sexual activities with him. However, their encounter was disrupted by passersby.
During the trial, it was revealed that the victim initially felt at ease with the first defendant but became frightened and uneasy when the second defendant and another boy joined them and pressured her into unwanted actions. The girl described feeling petrified and cornered as the two defendants raped her while the second defendant recorded the assault.
The incident, which lasted approximately 90 minutes, left the victim feeling sick and traumatized. Videos of the assault were circulated, and the victim received derogatory messages. The second victim, who was 14 years old at the time, reported a similar ordeal in January of the following year.
Judge Nicholas Rowland adjourned the case for sentencing reports to be prepared on the three defendants and released them on conditional bail.
