A couple sought refuge at their local Wetherspoons pub for over 50 days after their house was damaged by a storm. Catherine and Harold Mills stayed at The John Francis Basset in Camborne, Cornwall, enjoying meals and drinks from the pub’s menu while their home was being repaired. They recently moved into a bungalow but expressed gratitude for the support received at the pub. The couple, regular patrons of the establishment, had to evacuate their home when a tree fell on it during Storm Goretti, causing significant damage. Despite the ordeal, they appreciated the hospitality and camaraderie at Wetherspoons and plan to return even after their relocation.
