“Soham Killer Ian Huntley in Critical Condition After Prison Assault”

Soham murderer Ian Huntley is reportedly in critical condition after being discovered injured in his cell at HMP Frankland in County Durham. Huntley, aged 52, was swiftly taken to the hospital last Thursday following the assault.

Medical staff are said to have made considerable efforts to save his life, as prison officers initially feared he had passed away upon finding him. On the subsequent evening, it was revealed that Huntley’s life support had been turned off around midday after consultations with his mother, Lynda Richards.

According to reports, doctors have discontinued the ventilator that was keeping Huntley alive after brain scans indicated he was in a vegetative state. A source disclosed that Huntley’s condition is dire, and his chances of survival are slim, with little hope of recovery from the severe injuries sustained during the attack.

The Ministry of Justice has refrained from commenting on the matter. Huntley, a double murderer serving a life sentence for the killings of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002, faces a long road to recovery if he survives, with parole eligibility not expected until 2042.
