Robbie Williams, the 52-year-old pop sensation, has decided to part ways with his management team led by Michael Loney at ie:music, which was established by the late David Enthoven, Robbie’s former manager. Robbie, who rose to fame as part of the iconic 1990s group Take That alongside Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald, joined forces with the team in 2012, overseeing the release of his recent albums like Swing Both Ways, Britpop, and his greatest hits compilation XXV.
The singer has now announced the end of his collaboration with the management team, expressing optimism about the future and hinting at exciting upcoming projects. Robbie acknowledged the invaluable support of his former managers David Enthoven, Tim Clark, and Michael Loney, stating that it has been an amazing journey. Looking ahead, he emphasized the need for change and fresh energy in the rapidly evolving music industry.
In a statement to The Sun, Robbie shared, “At this particularly buoyant time of my career, with numerous opportunities on the horizon and the music business landscape shifting rapidly, I felt the urge for a new direction, a renewed vigor. I am currently assembling a new team and am thrilled about the prospects that lie ahead.”
Reports indicate that the decision to part ways was amicable, coming almost ten years after the passing of Robbie’s close friend and former manager, David. A source close to Robbie mentioned his eagerness for new challenges and successes, describing him as driven and hungry for more accomplishments.
Despite his remarkable achievements, Robbie, who is married to Ayda Field, recently reflected on the sacrifices he has had to make, especially in terms of spending time with his children, as he prepared for his Long 90s tour. Last year, Robbie and Ayda relocated to Miami, citing the need for a sunnier environment for their well-being and mental health. Robbie emphasized the importance of sunshine for his personal care and happiness, highlighting the positive impact it has on him and the sense of anonymity he finds in America.
