Condolences are pouring in for Chica Con Canna, a 37-year-old female rapper who has passed away. Known for collaborations with artists like Tony Batrânu, Vladone, and Mike Diamondz, she made a significant impact in her brief career before her untimely demise.
In a heartfelt tribute, her close friend Dana Marijauna expressed deep sorrow, stating, “With tears in my eyes, with deep love for Chica, who lost the battle against alcohol.
“A talented individual with the most captivating female voice and English interpretation in the realm of Romanian rap, she was soulful, generous, and possessed a strong character. Despite her numerous qualities, alcohol disregarded them all. Even in a billion years, we will continue to love you. We had plans to create new music together, but now we will do so in spirit.”
Another friend, Tonik Obiektiv, also paid tribute on social media, saying, “Chica was and will forever remain unique in her own way. Today, we mourn the loss of a valuable artist, a younger sister, and a dear friend. While few truly understood her, many listened to her, but only a handful truly appreciated her.”
Gianina Gheorghiu, known as the rapper, will be remembered through planned projects by her friends following her premature death at the age of 37.
Fans have also shared tributes for the rapper, who had a significant following in Romania. One fan expressed, “She was young, such a tragedy, I adored her singing,” while another added, “Our deepest sympathies to her family!” Yet another wrote, “Rest in paradise.”

While the cause of death remains unconfirmed, Dana’s tribute indicated that Gianina struggled with alcohol addiction and was suspected to have suffered a heart attack prior to her passing.
