The popular reality TV show “The Only Way Is Essex” has released a statement following the tragic death of one of its cast members, Jordan Wright, at the age of 33. Jordan, known for his appearances on TOWIE and MTV’s Ex On The Beach, was discovered in a drainage canal in Thailand. Authorities found him in the canal wearing a grey shirt and black trousers, with no shoes on, and a keycard for the Coco Phuket Bangtao Hotel in his pocket. His phone was also found nearby on the canal bank, and his body has been sent for an autopsy at Vachira Phuket Hospital.
Before his untimely death, Jordan had been sharing videos of his adventures in Phuket, including motorbike rides and scuba diving. The hotel records indicated that he had checked in alone but had not checked out as scheduled. Police revealed that CCTV footage showed Jordan behaving restlessly in front of the hotel before ultimately leading them to where his body was found. Authorities are awaiting the autopsy results to determine if any substances were in his system.
Members of the entertainment industry, including his former co-stars, have paid tribute to Jordan. Chloe Brockett from TOWIE posted a message of remembrance, and Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell expressed his sorrow for the loss. A Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed that they are providing support to Jordan’s family and are liaising with local authorities in Thailand.
Jordan’s final social media post featured him smiling in an infinity pool, and his body was discovered near Bang Tao Beach by a worker. Police stated that there were no signs of foul play, and it is believed that his body had been in the canal for up to two days before being found. Following his appearances on TOWIE, Jordan reportedly left the show and returned to his previous job at the London Fire Brigade.
