The reality TV personality, Jordan Wright from The Only Way Is Essex, shared a poignant message with a friend shortly before his untimely passing. His body was discovered in a canal by a local worker on Saturday around 12.30pm.
Authorities believe that Jordan had been in the water for up to two days before being found. He had relocated to Thailand in December the previous year, expressing anticipation for an exciting year ahead.
Police Chief Sutthirak Chuthong confirmed that Jordan, a British national, was staying at a hotel where staff had lost contact with him. There were no signs of forced entry in his room, and he had checked in alone with plans to leave on March 13, but never did.
Following CCTV footage, it was observed that Jordan seemed restless and wandered around the hotel before his body was discovered. The investigation is ongoing, awaiting autopsy results to determine if any substances were in his system.
In a social media post on March 6th, Jordan appeared content, sharing moments from his time in Phuket. Friends and family left heartfelt messages, expressing sorrow over his passing.
Jordan was found in the canal without his shoes, wearing a grey shirt and black trousers, with his hotel keycard in his pocket and his phone nearby. Investigators ruled out signs of physical altercation. The British Foreign Office stated they were assisting Jordan’s family and liaising with Thai authorities.
