The Royal Family is gearing up for a significant event later today. However, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who has been facing scrutiny, seems to be keeping a low profile at Sandringham since his recent arrest.
After being taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, the former Duke of York has not been publicly seen. Security personnel at his temporary residence in Wood Farm on the King’s estate have been spotted walking his dogs, including the corgis inherited from his late mother, the Queen.
The pets, Sandy and Muick, were observed being taken for a stroll near Wood Farm, while Andrew was nowhere in sight. These dogs were initially housed at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, which was the former residence of Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, following the Queen’s passing in 2022.
Following his loss of royal titles and the requirement to vacate the Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace mentioned that the dogs would “remain within the family.” It appears they are now residing with Andrew at his new abode. Meanwhile, Ferguson, who used to share updates about the dogs on her Instagram, is currently searching for a new place to live after not relocating to the King’s private estate with Andrew.
During a segment on This Morning, the former Duchess of York reminisced about the dogs, who had captured public attention during the late Queen’s funeral, and shared how they still miss the departed monarch.
On Commonwealth Day, amidst preparations for the royal event, news emerged that Andrew is feeling mounting pressure regarding his legal expenses. The King has conveyed that Andrew, now a private individual, must bear the costs himself. Allegations surfaced linking Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein, with a recent image released by the US Department of Justice purportedly showing Andrew with one of Epstein’s alleged victims.
The photograph portrays a man resembling Andrew seated with a young woman on his lap in Epstein’s residence. Another image depicts the same man with a different woman standing behind him. Both women’s faces have been obscured. These photos, part of a large release by the Department of Justice, were taken inside Epstein’s New York home.
In a separate development, it was disclosed that Andrew visited Epstein’s Manhattan residence for a week-long stay in 2010. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing and has been approached for comment regarding the recent developments.
