Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was given the moniker “Detainee A” by authorities during his 11-hour apprehension on his birthday, as per reports.
Sources alleged that Andrew was assigned this name to prevent any perception of preferential treatment towards the former Duke during his arrest at his residence on Wood Farm within the Sandringham Estate. The incident occurred on February 19, coinciding with his 66th birthday, when unmarked police vehicles from Thames Valley Police descended on the property.
The designation “Detainee A” starkly contrasts with Andrew’s prestigious royal titles, prompting reflections on the dramatic shift in his status. His arrest followed prolonged speculation regarding his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a connection Andrew vehemently denies.
The arrest, made on suspicion of misconduct in public office, led to Andrew’s subsequent release pending further investigation. Inquiries have been directed to Thames Valley Police and Norfolk Constabulary for additional comments.
