“Pressure Mounts for Sarah Ferguson’s Sworn Testimony”

Sarah Ferguson is facing mounting pressure following demands for her to provide sworn testimony in the United States regarding her knowledge of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. A US congressman expressed willingness to negotiate terms for her testimony under oath. The former Duchess of York has been out of the public eye for over six months since revelations surfaced about her prolonged association with Epstein beyond her previous disclosure.

Emails disclosed from the Epstein files in January revealed Ferguson’s repeated requests for financial assistance from Epstein, referring to him as a “supreme friend,” and indications of a visit with her daughters to Epstein in Florida shortly after his release from prison for child sex offenses in 2009. Calls have also been made for her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to address queries regarding his ties to the disgraced financier.

Suhas Subramanyam, a congressman on the House Oversight Committee investigating Epstein’s prosecution, believes that Ferguson possesses pertinent information related to the investigation. He emphasized the importance of her providing sworn testimony. If Ferguson were to testify in the US, it could lead to inquiries about Prince Andrew. Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury echoed the sentiment, urging cooperation from Ferguson or any family member with relevant information to ensure justice for survivors.

Sky Roberts, the brother of the late Virginia Giuffre, who alleged being trafficked to Mountbatten-Windsor, emphasized the urgency for Ferguson to testify if she holds any knowledge. However, legally, Ferguson cannot be compelled to testify in the US. Jonathan Coad, Ferguson’s former legal representative, asserted that she has no intention of traveling to the US due to potential repercussions for herself, her daughters, and Prince Andrew.

The Epstein scandal had a significant impact on Ferguson after it emerged that she maintained contact with Epstein, despite publicly denouncing him, resulting in several charities severing ties with her. Recent documents unveiled Ferguson’s correspondence with Epstein, including remarks like “I am at your service. Just marry me.” and references to Epstein as a “legend.” The ongoing scrutiny has led to speculations about Ferguson’s whereabouts, with reports suggesting she has been residing abroad.

In parallel, Mountbatten-Windsor has faced persistent calls to provide testimony in the US regarding his association with Epstein. A former Conservative Home Secretary reportedly obstructed US authorities from questioning Mountbatten-Windsor about his ties to Epstein. Allegations of misconduct in public office have further complicated the situation for Mountbatten-Windsor, who has maintained a low profile and was recently pictured leaving a police station.

Recent activities point to Mountbatten-Windsor’s relocation, with removal vans spotted at a new residence on the King’s estate. The transition comes amidst ongoing controversies surrounding his involvement with Epstein. Additionally, the removal of his HRH title and other royal designations has added to the unfolding developments in this high-profile case.
