Bernita and Alan Davies, both 60, were sentenced to eight years in prison for their role in their daughter’s death after the court determined that they had failed to provide adequate care for her. The judge emphasized that Steffie had not received love or attention from her parents and pointed out the lack of information about her life over the past decade.
Described as the “mother from hell,” Bernita was known for her harsh treatment of her children, leading Steffie to become increasingly withdrawn.
