The National Hockey League has tragically announced the passing of journalist Jessi Pierce and her three children in a devastating house fire that occurred in Minnesota over the weekend. Condolences and tributes have been pouring in for Jessi Pierce, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the NHL expressed deep sorrow: “The entire National Hockey League community extends its prayers and heartfelt condolences to the Pierce family following the loss of Jessi Pierce and her three young children. Jessi was a dedicated member of the NHL.com team for ten years and had a profound love for our sport. She will be greatly missed.”
Local fire authorities responded to an emergency call in White Bear Lake just before 5:30 am on Saturday, where witnesses reported flames engulfing the residence. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the bodies of an adult and three children. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
The Minnesota Wild organization also mourned the tragic loss, saying: “We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Jessi Pierce and her children. Jessi was a compassionate individual who deeply cared for her family and community. She was a dedicated advocate for hockey during her time covering the Wild and the NHL. Jessi and her children will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with their loved ones and all who knew them.”
Kristen Krull, co-host of the Bardown Beauties podcast, paid tribute to Jessi, saying, “Family isn’t always about blood, but the bonds you choose, and this was evident with Jessi.” She described Jessi as a supportive figure with an admirable work ethic and immense love for her family.
