“NASA Photos: Pyramid on Mars Sparks Ancient Civilization Debate”

Intriguing photos unveiled by NASA suggest the presence of a pyramid resembling the size of Giza on Mars, sparking discussions about the possibility of an ancient civilization once thriving on the Red Planet.

The pyramid-shaped structures gained attention this week following the release of NASA footage. The idea of pyramids on Mars was initially pondered in the 1970s by scientists Mack Gipson and Victor Ablordeppey, who identified pyramid-like formations on the Martian landscape. The latest discovery of a pyramid-like structure was made in 2001 by researcher Keith Laney.

Keith Laney expressed the belief that the structure could be of artificial origin, stating that if found on Earth, it would undoubtedly attract archaeological interest. Filmmaker Brian Dodds shared images of the structure, comparing its size to the Great Pyramid in Egypt. While acknowledging the lack of definitive proof of past life on Mars, Dodds raised questions about the possibility of a previous intelligent species inhabiting the planet.

Located in Candor Chasma, one of the largest canyons in the Valles Marineris system on Mars, the pyramid is situated amidst a complex system of canyons. NASA spacecraft captured images of the pyramid-shaped formation on multiple occasions between 2001 and 2016, showing consistent three-sided symmetry. Mars investigator George Haas also supported the notion of the pyramid being an artificial structure.

Speculation heightened after the CIA released documents in 2025 suggesting the pyramid could be of extraterrestrial origin. Former CIA operative Joe McMoneagle claimed that CIA experiments revealed multiple pyramids on Mars, including one with vast chambers surpassing those found in Egypt.

Despite ongoing speculation, definitive conclusions about the nature of the structures remain elusive without a mission to Mars. Nevertheless, the recent discovery continues to fuel interest in the potential for ancient life on the Red Planet.
