“Love Island Star Olivia Bowen’s Harrowing Birth and Vasectomy Decision”

Olivia Bowen recently shared her harrowing experience during the birth of her daughter, which left her feeling anxious as a mother. She also revealed that her pregnancy ultimately led to her husband undergoing a vasectomy. The Love Island star welcomed her second child, Siena, in August 2025.

During her pregnancy, Olivia, who is married to fellow Love Island alum Alex Bowen, faced a heartbreaking miscarriage when she was initially expecting twins. Despite this loss, she successfully carried Siena to full term. The birth of Siena was challenging, leading Olivia and her husband to decide against having more children. They already have a son named Abel.

Reflecting on the birth, Olivia disclosed, “I had a really bad haemorrhage during the birth. It was a close call, so it was very scary for both of us.” She admitted that this near-miss incident has heightened her anxiety as a mother, making her more vigilant about her children’s health.

The couple decided not to expand their family further due to the emotional toll of losing Siena’s twin. To prevent future pregnancies, Alex underwent a vasectomy. Olivia expressed mixed emotions about this decision, acknowledging a sense of finality in knowing she won’t have more children, particularly finding it difficult to stop breastfeeding Siena.

Aside from the vasectomy, Olivia and Alex made another significant parenting choice by relocating their family to the UK. Feeling uneasy about raising their children in the UK, they opted to move to Alicante, Spain. Olivia shared her concerns about parenting in the UK, emphasizing the appeal of the lifestyle in Spain, especially for their son Abel.

The couple’s move to Spain aligns with their desire for a better environment for their family. Olivia mentioned that they are exploring schools in Marbella, considering deferring Abel’s school start to January to help him acclimate to their new surroundings.

Olivia and Alex, the longest-standing couple from Love Island, first met in Spain during their time on the show in 2016. Their enduring relationship has seen them through various challenges, including their recent family decisions.
