Kaye Adams recently addressed the public following her departure from her BBC radio role. The Scottish broadcaster shared a statement on social media in response to allegations of misconduct that led to her removal from the radio show last October.
In her statement to her Instagram followers, Kaye Adams refuted claims against her character, denying the use of a misogynistic term from 14 years ago and dismissing accusations of mistreating an intern or throwing a pencil in an empty studio. She expressed disappointment that her 15 years of service at BBC Scotland were overshadowed by these controversies.
Kaye had been hosting a popular radio program on BBC Radio Scotland since 2010, but she will not be returning to the show. Additionally, her podcast sponsor decided to cease advertising on her show due to recent developments.
The Alzheimer’s Society, one of the sponsors, explained their decision to withdraw support for the “How to be 60 with Kaye Adams” podcast, citing the need to reach diverse audiences with dementia-related information. Kaye, who lost her father to dementia in 2017, continues to navigate the aftermath of her radio exit and emphasized the importance of focusing on her well-being and family during this challenging period.
