Iran’s New Supreme Leader in Coma: Severe Injuries Reported

Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader is reportedly in a coma due to severe injuries. Mojtaba Khamenei has allegedly lost one of his legs and sustained significant damage to his stomach or liver, as per sources in Tehran, Iran’s capital. The Sun reported that he is currently receiving intensive care at Sina University Hospital in Tehran, with security forces reportedly securing a section of the facility.

An insider, connected with a dissident in London, revealed that despite not being a medical professional, he has ties to the hospital’s trauma team. Information obtained from the team suggests that Mojtaba’s condition is critical, and he is under the care of Mohammad Reza Zafargjani, a prominent trauma surgeon and Iran’s Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education.

The unnamed source disclosed that Mojtaba has undergone amputation of one or both legs and suffered a rupture in his liver or stomach, leading to his current comatose state. It remains unclear if these injuries were inflicted during the same attack that claimed his father’s life at the conflict’s onset.

Recent reports from Iranian state TV referred to Mojtaba as ‘janbaz,’ indicating he was wounded in the ongoing ‘Ramadan war,’ the term used for the current conflict in Iran. The announcement of his leadership appointment was made on Monday, March 9.
