“Gwyneth Paltrow’s Red Carpet Wardrobe Scare”

Gwyneth Paltrow faced a potential wardrobe mishap while making her way down the Oscars 2026 red carpet. The actress donned a bold white gown with revealing slits on both sides, nearly revealing more than intended as she hurried through the Dolby Theatre.

The 98th Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, March 15, airing on ABC and streaming on Hulu. Conan O’Brien returned as the host for the second consecutive year, overseeing a night filled with memorable moments and significant wins.

In a video shared online, Gwyneth was captured lifting the lengthy train of her dress as she moved swiftly through the venue, inadvertently exposing more than planned.

At the event, Gwyneth, 53, graced the red carpet alongside other stars like Jessie Buckley and Rose Byrne in a strapless ivory silk Giorgio Armani Privé gown. The outfit featured daring high cut-out slits on each side, concealing sheer trousers underneath. She complemented her look with jewelry from Tiffany and Co.

During the ceremony, Gwyneth presented the first-ever award for best casting, presenting the honor to Cassandra Kulukundis for her work on “One Battle After Another,” a project with Paul Thomas Anderson.

Despite receiving nine nominations, the film “Marty Supreme,” in which Gwyneth stars alongside Timothée Chalamet, did not secure any wins. Chalamet, up for his third Oscar for Best Actor, lost to Michael B. Jordan from “Sinners,” who claimed his first Oscar for portraying twins Smoke and Stack in the movie.

Timothée attended the event with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, although they did not walk the red carpet together. Lipreader Nicola Hickling suggested there was tension between the couple during the ceremony, with Kylie reportedly commenting that Timothée was acting immature.

The Oscars also saw unexpected reunions of cast members from popular films like “Bridesmaids,” “Avengers,” and “Moulin Rouge.” Notably, Anna Wintour made a surprise appearance, co-presenting awards with Anne Hathaway as a nod to the potential sequel of “The Devil Wears Prada.”
