“Fourth Arrest Made in Lisa Dorrian Murder Case”

Police have made a fourth arrest in connection with the investigation into the murder of a woman over two decades ago. Lisa Dorrian disappeared from a party at Ballyhalbert Caravan Park in Northern Ireland, and despite extensive searches and efforts by her family, her body has never been found.

Authorities believe that the 25-year-old was murdered on the night of February 27, 2005, or early the next morning. The recent arrest, confirmed by police on Thursday, involved a 48-year-old man in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, who was taken into custody on suspicion of murder, assisting offenders, and hindering a lawful burial, according to reports from Belfast Live.

This latest arrest on March 5 marks the fourth in a series of recent arrests related to the case. A 40-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were arrested on February 25 for similar suspicions and later released on bail for further investigation. Additionally, a 40-year-old man was arrested on March 4 for aiding offenders and withholding information before being released on bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Kerrie Foreman stated, “Twenty-one years ago, a loving family was tragically robbed of their daughter and sister. Lisa, a resident of Bangor, was last seen alive in Ballyhalbert on February 27, 2005. Our investigation continues, and we are committed to finding answers, closure, and justice.”
