The passing of former Towie personality Jordan Wright in Thailand remains surrounded by uncertainty. The 33-year-old reality TV figure was discovered deceased in the country, a few months following his relocation there in search of a fresh beginning.
His body was located in a canal, having previously checked into a hotel by himself and observed pacing outside the premises. The grim revelation occurred on the renowned Phuket island.
Chief Sutthirak Chuthong from the Choeng Thale district station stated, “The individual was identified as Mr. Jordan Wright, a British citizen, whom the hotel failed to reach. A search of the room showed no signs of forced entry or unusual activities.”
Law enforcement reports indicate a swift response to the site near Bang Tao Beach, a scenic area attracting many tourists. The deceased was found in the water wearing a gray shirt and black trousers, with bare feet as noted by the authorities.
It is believed that he still possessed his key card and a phone was discovered left on the bank nearby. Hotel personnel informed the police that the former reality TV personality had checked in unaccompanied and was scheduled to depart on March 13, but did not complete the process.
After his demise, a representative from The Only Way is Essex expressed condolences, stating, “Everyone at Towie extends their deepest sympathies to Jordan Wright’s family and friends during this somber period.”
Additional tributes poured in on Wright’s final Instagram post, with fellow show stars offering their respects. Notably, Chloe Brockett wrote, “Rest in peace Jordan,” while Liam “Gatsby” Blackwell reminisced, “Miss you already, brother. Glad I got to see you in Thailand a couple of months ago. Big love to all your Family.”
The UK Foreign Office affirmed, “We are assisting the family of a British man who passed away in Thailand and are in contact with local authorities.”
Jordan, previously linked to Vicky Pattison, appeared on TOWIE during series 22 and 23 in 2018. He had also been part of the reality dating series Ex On The Beach. However, reports indicated his removal from the show following allegations of filming while on sick leave from the London Fire Brigade.
