“Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Claims Three Lives in Halifax”

Three individuals lost their lives in a collision involving three vehicles on Keighley Road in Illingworth, Halifax. The victims, a 21-year-old man and two 22-year-old men, were pronounced dead at the crash scene, which occurred at 6:50 pm on Wednesday.

West Yorkshire Police disclosed that the deceased individuals were passengers in a Ford Fiesta that collided with a BMW and a stationary Renault Clio at the intersection of Cobblestones Drive. Another 21-year-old occupant of the Ford Fiesta sustained critical injuries and was urgently transported to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities arrested a 37-year-old man, along with two women aged 18 and 32, all residents of Halifax and passengers in the BMW, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They are currently in police custody. The road in the area remains closed as investigations continue.

Detective Sergeant Paul Lightowler from the Major Collision Enquiry Team expressed condolences to the families and friends of the deceased individuals, emphasizing the tragic nature of the incident. Specialized officers are providing support to the affected families, while extensive inquiries are ongoing at the crash site.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses dash-cam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation. Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal multi-vehicle collision in Halifax, which claimed the lives of three individuals. Two 22-year-old men and a 21-year-old man in the Ford Fiesta were declared dead at the scene, while another 21-year-old individual from the same vehicle was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the BMW, including a 37-year-old man and two women aged 18 and 32 from Halifax, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are currently in police custody.

The third vehicle involved, a stationary Renault Clio, was unoccupied during the collision. The road remains closed as investigations progress.
