“Fatal Car Crash Shakes Illingworth Community”

A tragic car crash in Illingworth, Halifax, has left a young man, Spencer Elliott-Delaney, fighting for his life while claiming the lives of his three friends, Corey Graham, Cassius Bryant, and Thomas Reilly. The collision involved the Ford Fiesta they were traveling in, a BMW, and a stationary Renault Clio. West Yorkshire Police have arrested three individuals as part of their investigation into the incident, with a Bradford man currently in custody.

Spencer, aged 21, sustained severe injuries and is undergoing critical medical treatment and surgeries. A fundraising campaign led by Andrew Raby aims to provide financial support to Spencer and his family during this challenging time. The campaign has already raised over £7,000 of its £11,000 target, with additional funds pledged to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance if surpassing the goal.

The emotional toll of this tragedy is immense, with the community rallying to assist Spencer’s family and friends. The ongoing investigation by West Yorkshire Police includes the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Bradford on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, who is currently in police custody.
