Ellie Goulding has shared the unique name of her newborn daughter, who was born last week. The 38-year-old singer and her 28-year-old partner, Beau Minniear, welcomed their baby girl on March 6.
Ellie took to social media to express her joy, stating, “On Friday, I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. We are completely enamored with her.” She also highlighted the significance of spending International Women’s Day with her daughter and the compassionate female team at St Mary’s who provided exceptional care.
The new addition to Ellie’s family, named Iris Edeline Minniear-Goulding, alongside her boyfriend Beau Minniear, was revealed through a notice in The Times. Ellie, who is also a mother to four-year-old Arthur from a previous relationship, expressed her happiness about her expanding family, mentioning Arthur’s excitement about becoming a big brother.
In a post unveiling her daughter’s name, Ellie included a photo of a cake with “Welcome baby sister” icing, along with images of flowers she received, some placed under a banner reading “Oh baby baby.”
This announcement follows Ellie’s themed baby shower, featuring Greggs and McDonald’s elements. The event, attended by friends including the band Blue, was a joyous celebration where they sang together and enjoyed the festivities. Ellie, who later changed into pyjamas with a “Preggs” sash, also showcased personalized McDonald’s fries and margaritas at the event.
Amidst these celebrations, Ellie is concurrently working on her upcoming album, which will reportedly center on her divorce from ex-husband Casper Jopling, father to her son Arthur.
