Cruz Beckham, aged 21, has started his first UK tour with his band, The Breakers. He expressed his desire to reconcile with his estranged older brother, who turned 27 on Wednesday. During a visit to Paris with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel after a successful show in Manchester, Cruz was asked about his message for his brother Brooklyn. Cruz simply replied with “Happy Birthday.”
While attending his mother’s fashion show in Paris, Cruz mentioned that he hopes to mend their strained relationship but did not confirm if he had already reached out to Brooklyn. The situation arises as reports suggest that Brooklyn felt disappointed when their parents publicly wished him a happy birthday on social media, breaking their agreement on communication.
On Brooklyn’s birthday, their father David shared childhood photos of Brooklyn, tagging his wife Victoria and using their son’s childhood nickname, Buster. Victoria followed suit with a heartfelt message and a photo showing her laughter with Brooklyn, accompanied by loving emojis. Despite these gestures, Brooklyn reportedly finds such public displays of affection performative and contrary to his wishes.
Although Cruz extended birthday wishes to Brooklyn, the latter did not reciprocate on Cruz’s recent 21st birthday. Brooklyn previously made headlines with a public statement against his family, yet the entire Beckham family reached out to him on his birthday. Brooklyn, however, chose to repost a video of his wife presenting him with donuts instead of acknowledging his family’s tributes.
In contrast, Cruz shared a childhood photo with a message of love for Brooklyn, while Romeo posted a throwback photo without a caption. Even their grandparents, Ted and Hilary Beckham, posted birthday greetings for Brooklyn, expressing their love and good wishes. Recent reports suggest that Brooklyn maintains regular contact only with his grandfather Ted and his wife Hilary within the family circle.
