Two children were hurried to the hospital after a mishap on an apartment balcony in southeast Ireland. The incident occurred in Waterford on March 20, where a glass pane on the side of the balcony gave way. A three-year-old boy fell about 20 feet, as reported by The Irish Mirror. His seven-year-old sister also fell while trying to prevent him from plunging.
The siblings were promptly taken to University Hospital Waterford following the falls. Authorities, including GardaÃ, responded to the medical emergency at the complex. The Garda spokesperson confirmed the assistance provided, stating that there was no further information available on the incident.
Waterford City and County Council have initiated a formal investigation into the occurrence.
