“Calls for Probe into Mandelson’s Epstein Emails”

Police critics are calling for an investigation into Peter Mandelson over emails suggesting he received drugs from Jeffrey Epstein. The emails reveal Mandelson inquiring about “triangles,” a slang term for Xanax, and arranging for Botox injections from Epstein. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has urged the police to look into the matter, emphasizing the seriousness of the revelations.

Xanax, a controlled substance in the UK and the US, is illegal to possess without a prescription due to its high addiction risks. Mandelson’s emails show references to Xanax, with discussions about obtaining more pills from Epstein. Additionally, there were mentions of Niaspan, a prescription medication for cholesterol, in their exchanges.

Mandelson’s ties to Epstein have come under scrutiny, leading to his dismissal as US ambassador amid compromising documents surfacing in 2025. Despite being arrested on suspicion of misconduct, Mandelson has not been charged, with his legal team focusing on clearing his name from the unfolding scandal.
