Boston Lead Vocalist Tommy DeCarlo Dies at 60

Boston’s lead vocalist, Tommy DeCarlo, passed away at 60 after battling brain cancer. Known for hits like “More Than A Feeling,” his family confirmed his death. In a heartfelt social media post, they announced his passing on March 9th, 2026, after bravely fighting cancer since September. They requested privacy during their time of mourning.

In December, Tommy’s family sought financial help from friends and fans after he was diagnosed with brain cancer and had complications during surgery. Despite setbacks, Tommy persevered with treatment, garnering support through a GoFundMe campaign that raised $56,818. Tommy’s lifelong love for music led him to cover Boston songs online, eventually connecting with the band and becoming their vocalist following Brad Delp’s passing in 2007.

Tommy’s collaboration with primary songwriter Tom Scholz led to years of work with Boston, where he served as the lead vocalist for all touring line-ups. His dedication and talent endeared him to fans worldwide.
