“Beckham Misses White House Visit as Messi celebrates MLS Victory”

Sir David Beckham was absent from Inter Miami’s visit to the White House due to a prior commitment. Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates had the opportunity to meet with President Donald Trump to celebrate the club’s MLS Cup victory.

The event stirred some controversy as President Trump not only praised Miami’s success but also provided updates on the ongoing US and Israeli actions in Iran. Despite being a co-owner of the MLS club, Beckham missed the reception at the White House as he had longstanding plans with his wife in Europe.

Following the reception, Miami’s head coach Javier Mascherano revealed that they were instructed to focus solely on football during their White House visit. Mascherano mentioned that the visit was scheduled well in advance and was a customary tradition for championship teams.

President Trump expressed his admiration for Messi’s accomplishments, acknowledging his numerous career trophies and thanking him for choosing Miami for his next venture. The President also compared Messi to football legend Pele, suggesting Messi’s potential to surpass Pele’s greatness.
