“Armed Police Lock Down Hospital Over False Threat”

Armed police officers responded to a hospital this afternoon following reports of an incident. The Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend was put on lockdown during the event, with witnesses stating that access in and out of the hospital was restricted.

According to South Wales Police, firearms officers were dispatched to the location around 1:30 pm after receiving threats directed at an individual within the premises. A 23-year-old male has been taken into custody on suspicion of filing a false report.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police confirmed the situation, stating, “Authorities were alerted to threats against an individual at the Princess of Wales hospital at 1:20 pm on Thursday, March 19. Firearms officers responded, leading to the arrest of a 23-year-old male for suspected false reporting.”
