A fatal collision occurred in Brampton early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a man, as confirmed by Peel police. The incident involved two vehicles and took place around 1:10 a.m. in the vicinity of The Gore Road and Castle Oaks Crossing. According to Const. Tyler Bell-Morena, preliminary findings suggest that both an SUV and a minivan were heading south on The Gore Road when the SUV collided with the minivan at the intersection.
The impact caused the SUV to lose control and overturn, leading to the ejection of the male driver, who was in his twenties, and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Following the crash, emergency medical services from York and Peel attended the scene and transported three individuals with non-life-threatening injuries to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have advised residents to steer clear of the road closures on The Gore Road between Gardenbrooke Trail and Castle Oaks Crossing due to the incident.
