Princess Eugenie’s spouse is said to be setting a clear boundary concerning their home environment amidst the unfolding Epstein scandal. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s youngest daughter is caught up in the repercussions of his connection with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The ex-prince had his titles revoked and was taken into custody in February on suspicions of public office misconduct. He vehemently denies all accusations against him and was released pending further investigation.
Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie’s mother, has not been seen in public since December, when she attended the baptism of Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Athena, at St James’ Palace in London. Her current whereabouts are unknown after she and her ex-husband were instructed to leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, their home for nearly two decades.
Despite this, the former Duchess of York has not moved in with either of her daughters. According to sources, Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, is against this arrangement. A source close to the family mentioned that Jack upholds a “code of honor” which means he won’t abandon Andrew and Sarah completely but also won’t involve himself in the situation.
The insider shared, “His priority is his wife and children. The scandal has already brought unwanted attention, and he aims to avoid adding to it.” Concerns are raised about the scandal potentially affecting his consultancy business and tarnishing his family’s reputation.
Reports indicate that the couple is hoping Sarah Ferguson won’t ask to reside with them. Another source mentioned, “Eugenie and Jack are hesitant about Sarah moving in with them as she can be challenging to live with, and they are not prepared to take on that responsibility at this time.”
