“MOMA Foods Recalls 9 Products Over Mouse Contamination”

A food manufacturer has recalled nine products from stores due to potential “mouse contamination,” warning consumers not to consume them for safety reasons.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued an alert today, stating that MOMA Foods identified possible mouse contamination at the manufacturing site for various porridge pots and sachet products. The recall includes products like MOMA Almond Butter & Salted Caramel Porridge Pot 55g, MOMA Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Porridge Pot 65g, MOMA Banana & Peanut Butter Protein Porridge Pot 65g, MOMA Blueberry & Vanilla Porridge Pot 65g, MOMA Cranberry & Raisin Porridge Pot 70g, MOMA Golden Syrup Porridge Pot 70g, MOMA Plain No-Added Sugar Porridge Pot 65g, MOMA Almond Butter & Salted Caramel Porridge Sachets 7x40g, and MOMA Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Porridge Sachets 6x40g.

The FSA advised consumers that these products may pose a risk of mouse contamination, making them unsafe to eat. However, other MOMA products are not affected by the recall.

In a safety notice, MOMA Foods instructed customers who purchased the affected products not to consume them. Instead, they should return the items to the store of purchase for a full refund. For further inquiries, individuals can contact getintouch@momafoods.co.uk.
