Chappell Roan has come forward following an incident that left Jude Law’s daughter, Ada, upset. Premier League star Jorginho revealed that his step-daughter, Ada, was visibly upset after encountering the singer at their hotel. Ada, the daughter of actor Jude Law and singer Cat Cavelli, reportedly saw Chappell at the hotel, smiled at her, and then a security guard associated with Chappell approached Cat and Ada in a confrontational manner before Chappell’s performance at Lollapalooza in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The singer took to social media to share her perspective on the situation, clarifying that she was not approached by the mother and child involved. Chappell expressed regret for any discomfort caused and emphasized that she values her fans and does not harbor ill feelings towards children.
Ada, who was excited to attend Roan’s performance with her mother and step-father, had prepared a poster for the event. Jorginho recounted the incident on Instagram, highlighting the distress it caused his family and criticizing the aggressive reaction of the security guard towards his daughter.
In response to the incident, Eduardo Cavaliere, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, announced on Twitter that Chappell Roan would be prohibited from performing at Brazil’s Todo Mundo No Rio festival. He declared Ada as the “guest of honor” for the upcoming event.
Chappell, also known as Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, had previously addressed boundary issues between celebrities and fans in a series of TikToks in 2024. The Grammy-winning artist emphasized the importance of respecting boundaries and criticized entitled behavior from fans.
