“Structures Collapse in Istanbul, Trapping Victims”

Two structures have collapsed in a significant urban center in Turkey, trapping individuals beneath the wreckage.

Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the Fatih district of Istanbul following reports of two buildings crumbling after an apparent explosion. Initially, three individuals were rescued from the debris and promptly taken to the hospital with injuries, while two others remained trapped.

As per Turkish media outlet Yirmidort TV, all five individuals have been successfully extracted from the rubble. However, the severity of their injuries is currently uncertain.

Authorities in Istanbul have attributed the collapse to a natural gas explosion.

Footage shared by Turkish media depicts a large-scale search and rescue operation in progress, with numerous firefighters and medical teams at the site. Additional images showcase the widespread destruction in the district, with buildings flattened and debris strewn across the surrounding streets.

Dramatic photographs capture survivors being rescued from the rubble and carried away on stretchers, as emergency services persist in combing through the wreckage.
