Varsity Spirit Founder Jeff Webb Dies in Pickleball Accident

The mentor of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has passed away after a pickleball accident. Jeff Webb, renowned as the pioneer of modern cheerleading and founder of Varsity Spirit, suffered a fatal fall at the age of 76.

Varsity Spirit, in an Instagram post, paid tribute to Webb’s life and legacy, highlighting his profound impact on the cheerleading community. Following the incident, Webb suffered a severe head injury, as confirmed by Varsity Spirit’s president, Bill Seely.

Webb, a vocal advocate for Charlie Kirk, expressed admiration for Kirk’s qualities after his tragic demise. He attended the White House ceremony where Kirk was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously.

After being hospitalized for severe head trauma, Webb’s family made the difficult decision to withdraw life support, as reported by Cheer Daily. Beyond cheerleading, Webb was instrumental in shaping the sport and fostering a global community through his work with the International Cheer Union.

Known for his entrepreneurial ventures, Webb expanded into media by co-publishing Human Events and acquiring The Post Millennial. He later sold both titles to John Solomon’s Just the News. Solomon praised Webb as a visionary and influential figure in fostering young leaders.

Turning Point USA, the organization co-founded by Kirk, also expressed condolences on Webb’s passing, recognizing his legacy in shaping future leaders and his close ties to Charlie Kirk. Webb’s impact on both the cheerleading world and conservative media landscape will be remembered.
