“Tragic Loss: Family Mourns Teen’s Birthday Crash Death”

The family of a young girl who tragically lost her life in a car crash has revealed that she was nearing her 16th birthday. Lexi Catlin passed away in a road traffic incident on the A355 in Beaconsfield last Friday. In a heartfelt message shared by Thames Valley Police, the family described Lexi as a kind, funny, and outgoing individual whose presence brightened every room. They highlighted her love for spending time with friends, enjoying life to the fullest, and her unrealized dreams and aspirations. Lexi’s family expressed their profound grief, emphasizing the irreplaceable void her absence has left in their lives. They mentioned that Lexi’s 16th birthday would have been the following day, and they plan to observe a private event in her memory.

Regarding the accident, Thames Valley Police reported a collision involving a white Toyota Yaris, a grey Toyota Hilux, and a motorcycle on the A355 in Buckinghamshire around 9.20 pm that fateful Friday. Lexi, a passenger on the motorcycle, sadly succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The motorcycle rider, a 16-year-old boy from Beaconsfield, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Additionally, two other teenagers, a 16-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl from High Wycombe, who were also on a motorcycle, were held on the same charges.

Thames Valley Police disclosed that they have informed the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) about the incident due to the proximity of a police vehicle. The police car was traveling on the opposite side of the road without its emergency lights activated. Lead investigator Oliver Cahill-Smith extended condolences to Lexi’s family and urged witnesses or individuals with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward to aid the investigation.
