Blake Fielder-Civil Denies Responsibility for Amy Winehouse’s Death

Blake Fielder-Civil, the former spouse of Amy Winehouse, has recently made a series of statements regarding the late singer. In a recent interview, he denied any responsibility for Amy’s passing.

Despite Amy’s well-known struggles with addiction, she had been drug-free leading up to her death in July 2011. An investigation revealed that her demise was caused by alcohol poisoning. The official verdict from the inquest at St Pancras Coroner’s Court in London stated that Amy’s death was a result of accidental alcohol poisoning.

Fielder-Civil, who was married to Amy from 2007 to 2009, disclosed that he did not encourage Amy to use heroin. He expressed regret over introducing her to hard drugs, acknowledging his role in her substance abuse.

During his appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show in 2013, Blake admitted to introducing Amy to heroin during a stay in East London. He acknowledged his responsibility in the matter and expressed remorse over the consequences of his actions on Amy’s life and her family.

Fielder-Civil claimed that their drug use was limited to about four months during their six to seven-year relationship. He suggested that Amy’s addiction worsened while he was in jail. However, before her tragic death, Amy had managed to overcome her heroin addiction, with friends and family noting her efforts to stay clean.

Blake shared insights into his relationship with Amy post-divorce, mentioning discussions about reconciliation and potential remarriage. He recalled visiting Amy at her residence in Marylebone five months before her passing, although she was primarily associated with addresses in Camden.

Despite the criticisms leveled against him, Blake maintained that he and Amy had a close bond, with a mutual desire to work on their relationship. He highlighted their conversations post-rehab and relocation, indicating a willingness to rebuild their connection.

While there were conflicting opinions on Blake’s influence on Amy, he continued to reflect on their shared experiences and interactions leading up to her untimely death. Amy’s struggles with addiction and her complex relationship with Fielder-Civil remain topics of discussion among those close to her.
