A section of a major highway is currently partially shut down due to an accident, leading to significant delays during rush hour.
The M1 northbound is impacted between Junction 28 (Normanton/Pinxton) and Junction 29 (Mansfield), with one lane closed following a collision, as confirmed by National Highways.
Traffic is congested for nearly four miles beyond Tibshelf, causing delays of approximately 30 minutes. Heavy traffic is visible on traffic maps along the M1 northbound at South Normanton, with delays extending up to four miles.
