“David Walliams Tour Dates Cancelled Amid Publisher Fallout”

Cancelled comedian David Walliams faced another setback as the remaining dates of his live theatre show tour were called off following his recent fallout with his publisher. The tour, titled An Audience with David Walliams, was set to entertain fans with a night of humor and surprises at The University of Exeter on March 24 and Cadogan Hall in London on March 25.

The abrupt cancellation of these shows adds to a series of challenges for the former TV star and renowned children’s author. Walliams, known for his role in Little Britain, was dismissed from his position as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent due to leaked remarks deemed disrespectful to contestants. Additionally, he was replaced as the narrator on It’ll Be Alright On The Night and cut ties with HarperCollins over allegations of inappropriate conduct toward female employees.

Previous tour stops in Hull, York, and Derby in November 2025 were successful, but the upcoming shows were scrapped less than two weeks prior due to reportedly poor ticket sales. The Exeter venue had only sold 340 tickets out of a 1,000-seat capacity by February. As a result, online ticket sales have been halted, and the Cadogan Hall box office confirmed the cancellation to potential buyers.

Walliams has vigorously defended himself against the allegations, particularly those made by HarperCollins, stating that he was not given the chance to address the accusations. Following his departure from Britain’s Got Talent, he engaged in a legal dispute with Fremantle, the show’s production company, citing data protection breaches that impacted his finances and well-being. The matter was eventually settled amicably.

Despite these challenges, Walliams, celebrated for his popular children’s books like Gangsta Granny and Mr. Stink, continues to strive to maintain his reputation in the entertainment industry. The Mirror has sought comment from his representatives on the recent developments.
