A whopping £10.6 million prize from a National Lottery draw five months ago remains unclaimed, sparking a hunt for the lucky ticket holder in Bexley, South-East London. The winner, who matched all six numbers on October 4, has until April 2 to come forward and collect their life-changing fortune.
Kathy Garrett, a winners’ advisor at Allwyn, emphasized the urgency of claiming the prize, stating that the team is eager to hand over the substantial amount and even has champagne ready for the occasion. Noting the rarity of such a large prize going unclaimed, Garrett urged people in the Bexley area to search for their tickets, especially those with Lucky Dip entries who might be unaware of their winning numbers.
To encourage ticket holders to check their tickets, the National Lottery team plans to be in Bexley soon. If the prize remains unclaimed by the deadline, the money will be directed to the National Lottery’s charitable causes.
In a separate lottery success story, Lindsey Barnes, a mother of two, became the 8,000th UK Lotto millionaire after purchasing a last-minute Lucky Dip ticket on her phone. Celebrating her unexpected windfall, Barnes treated her family to a snowboarding lesson with Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller at the Snow Centre in Manchester.
Reflecting on her fortunate moment, Barnes shared how a spontaneous decision changed everything for her family.
