Prince Andrew’s Art Collection Moves to Marsh Farm

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appears to be relocating from his temporary residence at the Sandringham estate to his more permanent home at Marsh Farm. After relinquishing the lease on Royal Lodge, the former prince has been living at Wood Farm on the King’s Norfolk estate, where his late father, Prince Philip, spent his final days.

Following his recent arrest, Andrew has been staying at a modest cottage in Wood Farm while Marsh Farm undergoes renovations. Reports indicate that Andrew’s unique art collection is being transported to Marsh Farm by lorries from Gander & White, a reputable art logistics company known for handling fine art for esteemed clients like the National Portrait Gallery in London.

The art moving process is believed to involve a series of distinctive paintings and artifacts from Andrew’s personal collection. While some of Andrew’s art remains at Royal Lodge under the Royal Collection Trust, which manages the Royal Collection, a significant portion of his collection is being relocated to Marsh Farm.

Among the notable pieces in Andrew’s collection are an ancient sword once reportedly used by Princess Beatrice to humorously ‘knight’ James Blunt, inadvertently injuring Ed Sheeran. Other artworks include a 19th-century oil painting of Eugenie, Empress of the French, and photographs by Cecil Beaton capturing Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret in their early years.

Although Andrew’s eviction from Windsor estate led to the retention of some pieces by the Royal Collection Trust, his personal collection includes various historic artifacts currently being moved to Marsh Farm. Apart from art, Andrew is also known for his collection of teddy bears, with reports suggesting he owned around 72 teddy bears, meticulously arranged daily by Buckingham Palace staff.

Andrew’s departure from Royal Lodge was prompted by the termination of his royal titles and privileges due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein. The King officially removed Andrew’s HRH style and prince title, along with his dukedom, following revelations from Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and documents from Epstein’s estate.

Despite the controversies surrounding Andrew, his art collection and personal belongings are being relocated to Marsh Farm, marking a significant transition in his living arrangements.
